Biography

Mr. Martin Pelletier holds a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in human resources management from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal and also holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Experience

He was a human resources director and then a labor relations specialist for nearly fifteen years in various unionized companies, in the industrial maintenance industry, metallurgy and in the mining sector with more than 10,000 employees in Canada before going into business for himself more than five years ago.

Mr. Pelletier has been a member of the Quebec Bar for over a dozen years. He was recently accredited as an arbitrator and has acted as a mediator for several years for the Court of Quebec, Small Claims Division.

Areas of expertise

In addition, he has negotiated several collective agreements and advised several employees, senior executives and companies on various charters, decrees, laws, regulations as well as on the interpretation of various collective agreements.

Throughout his practice, Mr. Pelletier has also developed expertise in disciplinary and administrative management and has implemented policies in many companies regarding absenteeism, hiring, use of social media as well as health and safety at work.
